Responsible Gaming

This directory serves operators and software buyers, not players. But the platform an operator chooses determines what player-protection tools their customers will have — so it belongs on this site.

Our position

  • We do not operate gambling services and do not accept wagers or deposits.
  • We do not market gambling to consumers. Our audience is business buyers aged 18+.
  • We treat responsible-gaming capability as a functional requirement of a platform, not a marketing feature. A platform that cannot enforce limits is not fit for a regulated market.

What to require from a platform

If you are selecting software, these are the player-protection capabilities to verify during a demo — ask to see them working, not described on a slide:

Capability What to check
Deposit, loss and wager limits Player-set and operator-set; increases must be subject to a cooling-off delay, decreases must apply immediately
Session limits and reality checks Configurable reminders and forced session termination
Time-out and self-exclusion Self-exclusion must block login, marketing and account reopening for the full period, across all brands on the same licence
National self-exclusion registers Live integration with the scheme in each market you serve (for example GAMSTOP in the UK, OASIS in Germany, CRUKS in the Netherlands, Spelpaus in Sweden)
Behavioural risk detection Automated markers of harm feeding a documented intervention workflow, with an audit trail
Age and identity verification KYC before first deposit or first wager, as the local licence requires
Marketing suppression Excluded and at-risk players removed from every campaign channel automatically, not by manual list edits
Regulatory reporting Reports in the format the regulator requires, produced from the platform rather than by hand

We record known player-protection and compliance features on provider profiles where the provider has disclosed them. We do not certify them — our methodology page sets out what our checks do and do not cover.

Advertising standards

We do not accept advertising that targets minors, that implies gambling is a solution to financial problems, that presents gambling as a way to earn income, or that omits required regulatory information. Featured placements are labelled, and the terms are published in our methodology.

Where to get help

These services are independent, free and confidential. If you are outside the countries listed, your national gambling regulator publishes local support services.

Gambling should stay entertainment. It is 18+ only, the house holds a mathematical edge, and losses cannot be recovered by playing on.
